The Qualey family will gather to celebrate the graduation of five grandchildren of Rita Qualey and the late Arthur Qualey of Sherman Mills on June 6 at the home of Ron and Kathleen Bates in Holden.
Graduating from Bangor High School is Lucas Ronald Bates son of Kathleen Qualey Bates. Lucus will be attending the University of Southern Maine.
Also graduating from Bangor High School is Devon William McKinnon, son of Helen Qualey McKinnon. Devon will be attending the University of Vermont.
Graduating from Greeley High School is Hannah Qualey Young, daughter of Elizabeth Qualey Young. Hannah will be attending Bowdoin College.
Graduating from Ithaca College with a degree in physical therapy is Amy Elizabeth Bates daughter of Kathleen Qualey Bates. Amy will return to school to complete her masters and doctorial degrees.
Graduating from Bowdoin College with a degree in government and legal studies and history with a minor in education studies is Andrew Steven Edwards, son of Andrea Qualey Edwards. Andrew will be working at Deering Oakes High School in Portland in the AmeriCorps Program.
