Houlton’s Collett joins Katahdin Trust

    Peter St. John, senior vice president of commercial services at Katahdin Trust Company, has announced that Peter G. Collett of Houlton has joined the bank as credit analyst with responsibilities for analyzing business financial statements to provide a foundation for the bank's loan decision making.
    "We are very excited to have Peter join our team," St. John said. "His financial background combined with his experience in the real estate industry make him a great addition to our team."
    Collett began working for Aetna Casualty and Surety in 1990 as senior bond associate. In 1994, he joined  Houlton International Corp. and served as executive vice president until 2003 when he joined First Choice Real Estate as sales agent and went on to earn his broker's license. He held that position prior to joining Katahdin Trust Company.
    Collett, a Houlton native, attained his bachelor’s degree in finance and economics from Babson College in Wellesley, Mass. He volunteers as youth basketball and baseball coach for the Houlton Recreation Department. He is a member of the board of advisors for the Salvation Army and the  Community Board of Advisors for Louisiana Pacific in addition to being a business committee member for the First Congregational Church in Houlton.
    Collett and his wife Lisa have two children, Megan and Jason.
