Qualifying youth will advance to this month’s regional competition in Old Town.
The Houlton Recreation Department sponsored a Junior Olympic Skills Competition recently. Youth placing first in their event qualified to move on to the Regional competition this month in Old Town.

Qualifying to move onto the Regionals in each division are: Girls ages 8-9, Gabriella Guiod in the track, tennis and basketball events; boys ages 8-9, Elijah Older in track and tennis events and Daniel Moreno in basketball events; girls ages 10-11, Rylee Warman in track, basketball and tennis events; boys ages 10-11, John Thatcher in tennis; Zachary Guiod in basketball and Isaiha Littleton in track events; girls ages 12-13, Destiny Russell in track and basketball events and boys ages 12-13, Isaac Cone in track and tennis events and Nick Guiod in basketball events.Houlton Rec photograph

Awards were presented in the following categories: boys ages 8-9, basketball, second place Elijah Older and third, Kody McCordic; tennis, second, Daniel Moreno and third, Kody McCordic; and track, second, Daniel Moreno.
