The Fred Putnam house on North Street where a dinner party was in progress was lighted by candlelight throughout, lighted candles being in every window. Two evergreen trees on either side of the front porch electrically lighted and a Christmas wreath comprised the outside decorations.
The R.F. Ward home on Burleigh Street arrested the attention of the judges, the flickering light of candles in each of 30 windows from cellar to attic presenting a pretty and unusual sight.
