‘Our Town’ players to fall back in time
Frank Capra’s beloved American classic, “It’s a Wonderful Life,” comes to the stage in this fresh and inventive adaptation as a 1940s radio play performed before a studio audience.
With the help of a talented ensemble that brings a few dozen characters to life and with the creative use of live sound effects and an original score, the heartwarming story of idealistic George Bailey unfolds as he considers ending his life one fateful Christmas Eve. The heartwarming story of good will and cheer in the face of adversity has just as much power today to move audiences as it did 60 years ago. For older citizens who remember radio drama, this performance evokes pleasant memories. Contributed Photo
