To the editor:
Jackie Lundeen is a true voice for her friends and neighbors of Aroostook County. Jackie is a County girl through and through having been born and raised in northern Maine, and has given her family the same privilege, raising her children in the potato fields of her back yard; she has worked hard with her family to make a living and a home in the County.
As your next State Senator, Jackie will work to ensure that County residents can raise their families and find work, where generations before them have prospered.
In the Legislature, I have been privileged to witness first-hand her tenacity and commitment to the people she represents. From potato farmers, professors, loggers, mill workers, cashiers, to stay-at-home moms – all have a loud, determined voice in Jackie Lundeen. She tirelessly works for the County’s working families. She has fought to raise the minimum wage and increase access to health insurance.
Over the past eight years in the House, she has worked to increase services for veterans and the elderly. I have watched her with my own eyes cast the hard votes necessary to do what is right; Jackie never hesitates.
Aroostook County has a strong, powerful voice in Jackie Lundeen. Her voice will ring loud and clear in the Maine Senate, and I encourage you all to vote for her on Nov. 4.
Senator Libby Mitchell,
