HOULTON – Thomas G. Devoe, 74, died Oct. 19, 2008, at a local hospital. He was born Dec. 21, 1933, at Woodstock, NB, Canada, the son of Michael and Ellen (Awin) Deveau.
Thomas was a member of Saint Mary of the Visitation Church and the Houlton Band of Maliseets. He was employed by the Mooers, Co., McKay Rock Products, the B & A Railroad, and the Mapley Packing Co.
Thomas is survived by two sons, James Sacobie and Frankie Massey; six daughters, Nora J. Sacobie, Gail M. Sacobie, Berty (Sacobie) Jackins, Bernetta Deveau, Patricia Deveau and Susan Deveau; his second family, Patricia Paul, Katherine Paul, Elain Paul, Annette Paul and Elizabeth Paul; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Bertha Deveau; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call at the Dunn Funeral Home, Wednesday, 6 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday 11 a.m. at Saint Mary of the Visitation Church with Rev. David Raymond celebrate. Interment will be in the St. Mary’s Cemetery.
