After School Fun Program
The Houlton Recreation Department will be offering their After School Fun Program again this fall.
Youth in Grades K – 4 are invited to attend. The program runs each Tuesday and/or Thursday from 3-4:30 p.m. at the recreation center. The program includes crafts, games, contests, snacks and more. Parents may select one or two-day programs.
The program will run for eight weeks. Cost for a day program is $25 for Houlton resident/$38 for non-Houlton resident and the two-day program is $50 for Houlton residents/$75 for non-Houlton residents.
To register your child, call the Houlton Recreation Department at 532-1310 by October 8. The program will begin on Tuesday, October 14. This program is limited to 20 children per day.

Get Mooving Program
The Cooperative Extension along with the Southern Aroostook Tobacco-free Outreach Project, Houlton Recreation Department and Vitals Pathways will be sponsoring two morning programs that will center on the importance of milk, calcium and physical activity in a child’s life. The program will include a field trip to a local dairy farm.
Dates to choose from are Monday, October 6 or Tuesday, October 7 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Lunch and transportation to the farm will be provided. This activity is free to all participants. The program will be held at the “Just for Kids Playground” building in Community Park. Each morning is limited to 11 children in grades K-3.
Registrations are required and can be made by calling the S.T.O.P. office at 532-0908 by September 29.
Early Release School Days
The Houlton Recreation Department will offer an Early Release School Day program to area families in the SAD 29 school system. The program will be held on December 10, January 14 and April 8 from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Each day will be filled with crafts, games, contest, movies, snack and more. Children in grades K-6 are invited to participate in this program. Cost will be $8 for Houlton residents/$12 for non-Houlton residents per day. There will be a limit of 40 children per day for this program.
