Sixty-eight golfers enjoyed fall golf at its best last Saturday and supported a great cause by playing in the seventh annual “Rally For A Cure” Breast Cancer Tournament.
    The team of Leslie Gervais, Tim Guy, Lori Holmes and Gary Hannigan birdied the seventh hole to win the tournament over second place finishers, Marty and Karen Bouchard and Rob and LeeAnn Kinens.  Thank you Gretchen Fitzpatrick and Trisha Fogarty for all your hard work in putting together such a spectacular event.
It took two extra holes, but the Tony Marino/Andrew Peabody team outlasted the Marty Bouchard/Brian Fitzpatrick team to win the Men’s 2008 Twilight League championship by a stroke. In the Ladies’ Twilight League the Lori Holmes/Theresa Bragan team won the championship for the second consecutive year by beating the team of Martha Fasulo/Lois Fenlason.
The final two events of the year are coming up shortly. This weekend, Sept. 20, is the Bradbury Open and the following Saturday, Sept. 27 is the annual Ryan Wright Memorial Scramble.
