Skowhegan pull results

    The Northern Penobscot Pullers Association (NPPA) trekked south to Skowhegan last weekend for another show of their pulling power. The two-day event was unfortunately rained out the second day, but the crowd had a good time on Saturday as they witnessed the power of the pullers.

 TRACTOR WINNERS – Bonnie Quint, below right, won her class in the Antique Tractor Pull held at the Houlton State Agricultural Fair, as did Tamra Kilcollins, left.     The standings for the pickups were as follows:
    Half-ton street stock, Malcolm McGraw, Levant, first place with a Silver 2001 Dodge and Jamie Poissonier, Norridgewock, second place with a 1998 GMC.
    Three-quarter ton street stock, Adam Powers, Milford, first place with a 2007 Toyota Tundra; Travis Worster, Springfield, second place with a 2004 Dodge and Wes Mayhew, Cambridge, third place with a 2007 Chevy.
    Pro stock diesel, Carl Watson, Smyrna, first with a 2001 Dodge; McGraw, second with a 2000 black Dodge, as well as third with a 2006 Chevy.
    Super street, McGraw, first with a 1996 Dodge and Adam Powers, Milford, second with a 2007 Toyota Tundra.
    2X4 Super stock 5,800 pounds, Barry Dow, Houlton, first with the Intimidator; Pete Mercier, Princeton, second with Sneaky Pete and Brad Giguere, Benton, third with Unleashed.
    2X4 Super stock 6,200 pounds, Dow, first with the Intimidator; Mercier, second with the Sneaky Pete and Giguere, third with Unleashed.
    4X4 Super stock 5,800 pounds, Jere Humphrey, Washburn, first with the Whitelightnin’; Hampy Carter, Winslow, second with the Instigator and Steve Haines, Phillips, third with Black Gold.
    4X4 Super stock 6,200 pounds, Humphrey, first with Whitelighnin’; Carter, second with the Instigator and Andrew Abbott, Phillips, with Red Neck Cadillac.
    2X4 Modified 6, 200 A, Charlie Green, Exeter, R.I., first with Mr. G II; John Wood, Oakfield, second with Half Pint and Dow, third with Intimidator.
    2X4 Modified 6, 200 B, Wood first with Half Pint;  Dow second with Intimidator and Green third with Mr.G II.
    4X4 Modified 6,200 A, Mitchell Harris, Blaine, first with the Mega Ram and Travis Voisine, Chester second with Big Bad Red.
