The Northern Penobscot Pullers Association (NPPA) trekked south to Skowhegan last weekend for another show of their pulling power. The two-day event was unfortunately rained out the second day, but the crowd had a good time on Saturday as they witnessed the power of the pullers. TRACTOR WINNERS – Bonnie Quint, below right, won her class in the Antique Tractor Pull held at the Houlton State Agricultural Fair, as did Tamra Kilcollins, left. The standings for the pickups were as follows:
Half-ton street stock, Malcolm McGraw, Levant, first place with a Silver 2001 Dodge and Jamie Poissonier, Norridgewock, second place with a 1998 GMC.
Three-quarter ton street stock, Adam Powers, Milford, first place with a 2007 Toyota Tundra; Travis Worster, Springfield, second place with a 2004 Dodge and Wes Mayhew, Cambridge, third place with a 2007 Chevy.
Pro stock diesel, Carl Watson, Smyrna, first with a 2001 Dodge; McGraw, second with a 2000 black Dodge, as well as third with a 2006 Chevy.
