Aroostook County taxpayers pay again

To the editor:
   As we all are aware off they are going to take the funding away from our Drug Enforcement. We also realize the Houlton Jail in Houlton is in trouble. The taxpayers in Aroostook County are going to find out that their taxes are going to go higher. Aroostook County taxpayers can not afford to pay any higher taxes.     There is an easy solution to this problem! Raise the fine of the drug dealers and users.
    We find through our conversations with the law enforcers that our courts are failing us! For example: If you get caught for drinking and driving, your fine is about $1000 and if you get caught with drugs it is about $350, if they pay a fine at all! I would say if the District Attorneys and the Judges all could get together they could work they could work to solve this problem!
