    What do you appreciate most about each other?
    Emily: That she helps me do stuff I need to do. I appreciate her support.
    Joyce: I appreciate Emily’s support, too. She’s very supportive of me. I appreciate her hard work at school. I appreciate her kindness and consideration of others. I’m just very proud of my daughter.
    What kind of things do you like doing together?
    Emily: I like shopping with her. We like to go out to eat together and garden together.
    Joyce: I enjoy going out for coffee and a pastry on Saturday or Sunday. That’s kind of our special time together.
    What kind of things did your mom teach you that you think you’ll always remember?
    Emily: Being kind and being considerate of others.
    Joyce: I think my mom taught me to be strong. My mother taught me to be very sensitive to others. Just to be caring.
