HONORED — Deacon Al Burleigh of St. Mary’s presents a certificate to church member Molly Bailey. Bailey received the “Romans Award” for her work with the youth at the Houlton church.

The certificate was presented at morning Mass at St. Mary of the Visitation Church by Deacon Albert Burleigh in April 2007.
The recognition is called the Romans Award; it acknowledges the presence of those adult role models who give of their time, talent and treasure.
Here’s what some of the youth of St. Mary of the Visitation say about Bailey: “Molly is generous and does a lot for the church.” “She is active in the church and helps the youth tremendously.” “She is one of the nicest women you could ever hope to meet and is always there when you need her.”
Some of Bailey’s church activities include helping with various youth events including the pie bakes, the Mother’s Day breakfast and even saves tabs from soda cans for the youth projects.
She is an active member of the Houlton Council of Catholic Women, is chair of the Bereavement Committee, assists with the food pantry and the list is endless.
Bailey lives on Smyrna Street with her husband Chester Bailey. She has one daughter, Janice Brown, who lives in Rockland.
The St. Mary’s church community wishes to express their love and appreciation to Bailey.
