STACYVILLE — Calvary Baptist Church is making plans for its Candy Cane Shop, scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 8 from 9 a.m. to noon at the church. The church is located at 578 Station Road in Stacyville. The Candy Cane Shop, a community event organized by the church, is open to children up to Grade 6. Children are invited to come and do their Christmas shopping while their parents enjoy cookies and coffee at the Candy Cane Café. All proceeds are used to purchase gift baskets with the makings of a nice Christmas dinner, as well as other items, to be given to struggling families in the community.
