Kurt Russell celebrates 40th birthday

A birthday party was given by Deborah Russell at the Hilltop Bowling Lanes on Aug. 17 for her brother Kurt A. Russell in celebration of turning the big “40.” Kurt’s father, Clyde, helped to decorate the bowling alley with plenty of balloons and birthday decorations. Kurt’s mother, Juanita, had the task of getting Kurt to the party on time looking ever so handsome. His friends Jay, Amy, Trevor, Harold and Gabrielle attended the party. Kurt’s brother, Jarret, attended along with his family as well as three of Kurt’s other sisters, Teresa, Loralei and Suzette and their families.     Everyone had a good time bowling as well as enjoying an arrangement of finger foods. The guests were also treated to gift bags made up by Kurt. As many of you know, Kurt now has a food tube so the birthday song was sang with him enjoying some root beer, which is his favorite beverage.
Kurt recently adopted a dog from the Houlton Humane Society and they have become good companions so in lieu of gifts Kurt had requested that his friends and family bring donations to put in a dog dish so that he could give it to the Shelter. On Aug. 24 Kurt presented to the Shelter a check for $88.
Kurt did however receive a gift in the form of a concert ticket to see his buddy, “Willie Nelson.” Kurt is a big fan and had a wonderful time at the show on Sept. 1. He was able to get down front to wave to “Willie” and his sister Debby helped him take plenty of pictures. Kurt has had fun this past month making memories.
Your family and friends love you Kurt so have a wonderful year!
