Katahdin Cedar Log Homes launches new web site

    OAKFIELD — Katahdin Cedar Log Homes has launched its new website, www.KatahdinCedarLogHomes.com, to help visitors learn more about the company’s cedar log homes, search a portfolio of more than 400 plans and find ideas for building their own cedar log home.     “We really did our research over the past year,” said David Gordon, president of Katahdin Cedar Log Homes. “Our customers wanted to be able to search for plans, get more information about our log homes, and be able to identify designs from photographs featured on the website. With the new website, our customers can now do all those things, and more.”
    The Katahdin website offers virtual tours and a featured log home of the month, giving visitors an inside look into a selection of stunning cedar log homes designed by the company. The site features rich photography and computer-generated color views of many of the hundreds of designs it has in its gallery of homes.
    The site is also a wealth of information for those considering building a cedar log home, including: Scientific data about the benefits of cedar over other materials used in log home construction; Katahdin’s “green” approach to manufacturing, as well as the environmental advantages offered by cedar log homes; How to maintain a cedar log home; a feature that allows visitors to locate a Katahdin dealer in their area; and money saving offers, special events and seminars sponsored by Katahdin throughout the year.
