Carroll R. Patten

PRESQUE ISLE –  Carroll R. Patten, 78, passed away at the Maine Veterans Home on November 6, 2007. He was born November 29, 1928 in Perham, the son of Robert P. and Dora (Humphrey) Patten.     He served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War and also served in the National Guard. Carroll owned and operated Patten’s Service until his retirement. Carroll loved fly-fishing and enjoyed his family and many friends. The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Carroll’s close friends, Billy Graham,  Ramey Walton, Jim Burrill and his cousin Keith Neilander for their constant devotion and friendship.
    He is survived by his wife Maxine (Carmichael) Patten and two sons and their wives, Scott and Cinda of Presque Isle, Jon and Brenda of Gorham and his daughter Lynn Patten of Gorham. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Dean, Dana, Tyler, Michael, Marissa and Delaney as well as his sister, Dawn Ahern and her husband John of Connecticut. He also is survived by several cousins and their families. Carroll will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
