The Star City Senior’s Club met Nov. 8 at the VFW with 32 members and two guests, Bill and Dianie Dechanine. The table blessing was said by Donna Devoe, after which we had a potluck luncheon. Bill & Dianie Dechenine sang for us and we appreciate the songs very much.
President Betty Wilson opened the meeting with the “Lord’s Prayer,” flag salute, and one verse of “America.”
The secretary’s report was tabled due to Delores Brown just returning back. The treasurer’s report by Jean Easler was given and accepted by motion and showing of hands.
Next week is our Thanksgiving dinner, so don’t forget all volunteers who are bringing in the food. We are having turkey and ham and all the fixings.
We are having the Merry Makers with us for Thanksgiving. They’ll be singing, which I’m sure we’ll all have a great time. So, all come and join us.
