Local McDonalds restaurants to expand menu
HOULTON — Starting Oct. 6, McDonald’s restaurants across Maine and New Hampshire will be expanding their menus to include breakfast throughout the day.
According to Heidi Abbotoni, who owns McDonalds restaurants in Houlton, Presque Isle, Caribou, Lincoln and Calais with her husband Daryl, the menu change is something customers have been asking for locally for a number of years.
Traditionally, breakfast has only been served until 10:30 a.m., when the change to lunch items takes place, Abbotoni said. Only certain items from the breakfast menu will be available, including Egg McMuffin sandwiches, platters, burritos, oatmeal and yogurt. Hash browns may also be available in certain locations.
