PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — Katahdin Trust, a local community bank serving northern Maine and the greater Bangor and Portland regions, is pleased to announce the promotion of Sue Fox to vice president, appraisal and credit administration manager.
In her new position, Fox will be responsible for assisting with a variety of duties related to Katahdin Trust’s credit administration, including portfolio risk management, appraisal department oversight and regulatory compliance.
“We are proud of Sue and all that she has accomplished,” said Jon Prescott, president and CEO. “She is well deserving of this promotion.”
Fox has been with Katahdin Trust since 2006, starting out as a part-time teller and joined the commercial services department in 2007. She was named appraisal department manager in 2019 and promoted to officer in 2020. In 2024 Fox was promoted to assistant vice president, appraisal department manager.
She attended the University of Maine and received her bachelor’s degree in kinesiology and physical education and will obtain a bachelor’s degree in accounting at the end of August. Fox is also a 2015 graduate of the Young Professionals Institute. Earlier this year, she became certified through the IRS to provide tax filing assistance to low-to-moderate income families, the elderly and disabled, and in her free time, volunteers at Aroostook County Action Program to help these individuals.
