Wednesday-Friday
A cold front was expected to move through the Valley Wednesday morning into the afternoon and move to the Maine coast Wednesday night. Showers and thunderstorms were expected to develop in the afternoon ahead of the cold front. Storms were expected to wane Wednesday evening with clearing skies as high pressure centered north of the Great Lakes built into the Saint John Valley. Cooler, drier air will build into the SJV Thursday and Friday with mostly clear skies.
Saturday – Tuesday
High pressure remains across the region Saturday and Sunday with mostly clear skies and warming temperatures. Skies become partly cloudy Sunday evening as a cold front approaches from the north/northwest with afternoon/evening isolated showers/thunderstorms possible. A slight chance of showers persists overnight into Monday.
The cold front weakens as it moves through Maine, though a chance of mainly afternoon showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected. A chance of showers continues Monday night before ending Tuesday morning.
The front looks to dissipate over the Valley Tuesday with partly cloudy/mostly sunny skies and a slight chance of afternoon/evening showers/thunderstorms for the area.
Partly cloudy skies are expected Tuesday night with high pressure building across the region.
