PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — David Bartlett, Presque Isle High School principal, is pleased to announce that Todd Saucier, agency manager, vice president and account executive at United Insurance, will offer the keynote address at this year’s commencement.
Saucier was raised in Ashland and graduated from Ashland Community High School in 1989. He attended the University of Maine and completed his bachelors degree in business administration with an accounting concentration in 1993. Fortunately, his first “professional” employer had a tuition program which provided the opportunity for a masters in business administration. He worked on his MBA at UMaine in the evening and on weekends to complete that degree in 1997.
Saucier’s career has been spent with four entities, primarily in finance and relationship professions. While trained in accounting, he evolved to utilize his finance skills and marry them with his people skills. Saucier ‘s current position as agency manager and vice president for United Insurance exercises all of those skills and experience for the purpose of working with clients and colleagues to build sustainable growth and profitability, while serving the 35 families to whom his colleagues are responsible.
Saucier is highly involved in his profession, community and family. He served and chaired the board for the National Education Alumni Trust. He was a faculty member for the CASE Summer Institute for Alumni Professionals. He is active with local and the State Chambers of Commerce.
Saucier became an Eagle Scout with Ashland’s Troop 179 and remains involved in Scouting as a board member for the Katahdin Area Council. His enthusiasm for snowmobiling has encouraged him to become a board member, president and trail master for his snowmobile club. He serves as vice chair of the board of the University of Maine Foundation. He is currently the treasurer of the Aroostook Partnership, for which he has served in several positions on the Board since returning to the County in 2019.
Saucier has been married to his wife Dee for 30 years and they have two adult daughters. He enjoys anything that includes his family and friends.
“We are truly honored to have Mr. Saucier as the keynote speaker at the Presque Isle High School Class of 2025,” Bartlett said.
The 2025 ceremony is set for Friday, June 6 at 6 p.m. at the Presque Isle High School gymnasium. A ticket is required.
