Island Falls resident celebrates 90th birthday

ISLAND FALLS, Maine — Margaret Bishop Dunphy celebrated her 90th birthday with a small gathering at her home in Island Falls. Attending were her daughter Carrielee Dunphy from Big Lake Alaska, granddaughter Tonia Dunphy Ward with husband James Ward and daughters Lillie Fortier and Abigail Fortier from Oakland. Also present were daughter Sherry Willigar, son Scott and Carol Dunphy, son Patrick Dunphy, grandson Kent, grandson Davey Noyes and Mandi Noyes, their sons Bridger Noyes and Dawson Noyes with Victoria Belyea and very special great great-grandson Weston Noyes born June 24, 2024, all from Island Falls.

Unable to attend were son-in-law Billy Magee and granddaughter Cheryl Magee from Big Lake, Alaska, Kylie Dunphy and fiancee Patrick Powers from Yarmouth, granddaughter Erica and Ryan Gates and children Cora Gates and Eli Gates from Rockport, granddaughter Carol Ann Carol and Les Carol and their boys Carson and Gavin Carol from Alton. 

Margaret enjoyed a pizza party with cake and ice cream. She has lived in the same house in Island Falls for 71 years.
