As high pressure builds into the region Thursday, skies begin mostly sunny then becomes partly sunny as the day progresses. For Friday, partly sunny skies with light southwest winds near calm. Friday night, partly cloudy skies with light south winds across the St. John Valley.

A cold front approaches Saturday with some snow / snow showers across the area in the afternoon and overnight periods. Snow tapers off as the cold front exits east of the region Sunday. A bitterly cold infusion of Arctic air into the region is set to start the upcoming week with highs Monday in the 5-10 above range and overnight lows falling into the -10 to -15 range. Highs Tuesday only make it into the 0 to -5 range. Partly cloudy skies with temperatures -5 to -10 are expected Tuesday night.
