CARIBOU, Maine  —  Christmas got even brighter at Cary Medical Center when the hospital’s Maternal Child Care Unit received 80 donated Naptime Knots hats from Casey Blackstone.  Blackstone donated a total of 180 hats to hospitals in the County. Nurses at Cary distribute the hats to newborn families when they leave the hospital.

“It is so nice to have these beautiful hats to offer our families as they leave the hospital,” said Stephanie Graham, RN, a nurse at the Maternal Child Unit at Cary. “We give one to each family until we have used them all. We are very grateful for the donation and our families really enjoy this special gift.”

2024 has been a very busy time for the Maternal Child Unit at Cary. The hospital has already delivered 208 babies and expects to go over 210 by year’s end. This will be the most deliveries at the hospital since 2018.
