Northern Maine Antique Tractor Club donates to the Aroostook House of Comfort

PRESQUE ISLE, Maine – The Aroostook Hospice Foundation is honored to share that they were once again chosen as a recipient of the Northern Maine Antique Tractor Club’s charitable donations. During the club’s annual banquet held on Saturday, November 2 at the Presque Isle Snowmobile Club. Approximately 60 members and guests gathered to celebrate another  successful year, enjoy a delicious meal and honor top award winners.

The banquet festivities included recognition of award recipients for achievements in tractor pulling and the presentation of the prestigious Sterling Haynes Memorial and Larry Kingsbury Sportsmanship Awards. Funds raised from the club’s Memorial  Tractor Trek and a portion of raffle ticket sales were donated to support three local organizations dedicated to health and  community care: the Aroostook House of Comfort, Northern Light Home Care & Hospice and C.A.N.C.E.R.

The Aroostook House of Comfort was represented by Aroostook Hospice Foundation Board Chair Rick Duncan, who, along  with Northern Light Home Care & Hospice Manager Gail Phair-Kirk, accepted the generous donation of $600 on behalf of their  organizations. This contribution will support the Aroostook Hospice Foundation’s mission to provide compassionate inpatient  hospice care for individuals and families in Northern Maine and beyond.  

The evening closed with an auction led by local auctioneer Tommy Drew, bringing lively energy and laughter as attendees bid  on a variety of items to further support the club’s fundraising efforts. The Aroostook Hospice Foundation extends their deepest gratitude to the Northern Maine Antique Tractor Club for their continued support and commitment to community centered giving.

The Aroostook House of Comfort, situated centrally in Aroostook County and recognized as the sole inpatient hospice facility north of  Augusta, is owned by the Aroostook Hospice Foundation.
