Parts manager retires after 35 years of service

York’s of Houlton employees celebrated Dale Ivey’s retirement with a grand send-off dinner on Thursday, Oct. 3.  

After 35 years of service, Ivey, the long-serving parts manager at the Houlton dealership, is retiring. Known for his professionalism and deep commitment to customer service, Ivey has become a beloved figure at the dealership and in the local community.

Ivey began his career at York’s in 1989 and quickly rose to become a trusted expert in parts management. Over the course of three and a half decades, he has helped thousands of customers and technicians find the right parts for their vehicles, solving problems with precision and care. 

His dedication and attention to detail in forecasting, inventory management, supplier relationships and as a coach to his employees, have set a high standard within the dealership.

“Dale has been a cornerstone of this dealership for so many years,” said Jamie York. “His expertise, hard work, and friendly personality will be greatly missed. It’s rare to find someone with the kind of dedication Dale has shown over the years.”

The entire team extends their deepest thanks to Dale for his 35 years of exemplary service and wishes him all the best in his retirement, York said.
