WASHBURN, Maine — Police are asking the public for assistance in solving recent thefts in the community.
“We are looking for any information you may have on two crimes committed this weekend,” said Chief Roy Guidry, in a statement posted on the department’s Facebook page.
Guidry indicated thefts occurred at a local housing complex and a Washburn business sometime over the weekend.
“The storage/maintenance building at Story Hill Estates was broken into; tools and equipment were stolen. The door was damaged where it had been kicked in,” said the chief.
The second crime occurred at Sled Quarters, located off the Washburn Road.
“A small Yamaha 110 four-wheeler was stolen from Sled Quarters. It is blue and has a blue tarp covering the seat. It was discovered missing early Monday,” said Guidry.
Anyone with any information that could possibly help in the recovery of these items is encouraged to call the Washburn Police Department at 455-4043.
