Choosing the right candidates

To the editor:

Will we ever have another election like the one coming this November? This is an election that will be pivotal to our nation forever.

We are all certain, I believe, that we need a drastic change in our government and our election system always seems to come down to a binary choice. Both candidates promise this change and it is up to us as American citizens to make that choice and it must be the right choice for our nation’s survival. Not to sound melodramatic but the wrong choice now with the state that our nation is in with high inflation, crime, the border crisis and the world conflicts and wars would be catastrophic. We need a very strong leader at this time.

How do we make a choice that we truly believe is right for our nation? We have to rely on our spiritual beliefs to guide us. Simply put, with the choice before us we need to surrender to divine wisdom. It is up to us to find the right answer through prayer. Both candidates are truly known by God and so are their hearts and ultimate intentions.  He cannot be deceived by either candidate but we can be if we simply rely on our own intelligence and instincts. We all have our own likes and dislikes that would be individually what we want but would this be the best choice for the nation.

We must ask ourselves which candidate and party most closely follows our Christian precepts and what we would perceive as God’s will. We certainly want the candidate that is in His divine will and then our nation will be in His will.
