WASHBURN NEWS

Ethan Doody of Wade is now one of Maine’s newest state troopers. He was one of 13 who joined the State Police in graduation ceremonies at the Maine Criminal Justice Academy in Vassalboro earlier this spring.
Governor LePage was in attendance as the new troopers received their badges from the Chief of the State Police, Colonel Robert Williams. Chief Williams told the new troopers that expectations for them were high, “you will see the best and worst of people and be called upon to make decisions in a fraction of a second, the public expects nothing less.” The new troopers spent nine weeks in specialized State Police instruction and procedures and now are patrolling in their designated areas of the state. Assigned to Troop F in Houlton were: Adam Bell from Sanford, who graduated from Hodgdon High School and Maine Maritime Academy; John Darcy of Thompson, Conn., who graduated from Worcester State University; and Ethan Doody of Wade, a graduate of Washburn High School and the University of Maine.
