    GOOD, Walter Frederick, 88, PRESQUE ISLE, ME & JAMESTOWN, NY, at Falconer, NY, June 2, 2014. Arrangements are under the care of Falconer Funeral Home, New York.

    PRESQUE ISLE, ME & JAMESTOWN, NY – Walter Frederick Good, 88, formerly of Presque Isle, Maine and Willow Avenue in Jamestown, New York, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, June 2, 2014, at his daughter and son-in-law’s home in Falconer, NY. He was born December 29, 1925, in Presque Isle, ME, and was the son of the late Fred and Florence Good.  American Flag Color
    Walter served as a Military Police in the Army from 1950-1952 and was stationed at Fort George Meade in Maryland and at Camp Breckinridge in Kentucky.
    Prior to retirement, Walter had been employed by Lutheran Social Services in the maintenance department. He was gifted in his ability to repair anything and especially enjoyed working on lawn tractors. Walter shared this gift by fixing items for friends and neighbors as well as vacuum cleaners for Community Helping Hands.
    When asked how he wanted to be remembered, Walter responded that he wanted to be known as a Godly man and worked toward that end his entire life.
    Walter is survived by daughter, Katherine (Craig) Short of Falconer, NY, where he had made his home for the past four years; son, Arthur (Tracy) Good of Roanoke, VA; daughter, Debora (Jon) Yenne of Sandborn, IN; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
    Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Barbara in 1956; his wife of 30 years, Eleanor who passed away in 2007; sister, Mary Underwood; brothers, Glen, Merle and Richard.
    A celebration of Walter’s life was held at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, June 4, 2014, at Levant Wesleyan Church where Walter was a member. The Pastor Al Myers of Levant Wesleyan Church officiated. Burial was at Levant Cemetery. Friends were received by the family from 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday June 3, 2014, at Falconer Funeral Home and one hour before the funeral Wednesday in the church.
