HOULTON, Maine — After a scoreless first period last Wednesday, the Presque Isle Wildcats’ hockey team got its offense in gear against the Houlton-Hodgdon Blackhawks at the Millar Civic Center and rolled to a 6-0 victory.
The win was the 11th of the season for PI, which held the No. 2 position in the Eastern Maine Class B standings entering play this week.
The Wildcats held a 40-15 advantage in shots on goal, with Tyler Seeley notching the hat trick, Joe Patenaude scoring a pair of goals and Alex Michaud netting the other for 11-5-1 PI.
Cooper Madore picked up two assists and Denny Young and Mikey Michaud added one each. Oliver Gerrish earned the shutout in goal.
A game originally slated for Monday night between PIHS and top-ranked Brewer was postponed until last night. No results were available at presstime.
