Star City Seniors Club meets

    PRESQUE ISLE — The Star City Seniors Club met at the VFW Sept. 6 with 18 members and one guest. Maxine Roak from Massachusetts was the guest of Delores Brown. The blessing was said by Donna Devoe, after which we had a great potluck luncheon.     The meeting was brought to order by Vice President Donna Devoe, with the “Lord’s Prayer,” flag salute and one vers of “America.”
    The Northern Maine Council on aging will meet at the Central Aroostook Snowmobile Club in Mars Hill on Sept. 17 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. with a meal to follow. Cost is $4. Ya’ll come!
    Please remember all our members who are sick and hold them up in prayers. Walter Gramor is home from the V.A. nursing home. Also Kempton McManus is out of the hospital. So nice to see Granville and Marie Lamb with us this week. Hope to see you again.
    The secretary report was given and accepted.
    The treasurer report and read and it was accepted.
    September birthdays are Irving Condon, 2; Shirley True, 4; Randy Young, 5; Willetta Gaston, 7; Marilyn Tardy, 11; Jean Easler, 11; and Roland Michaud, 14.
