PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — A fire at a Wilson Street home late Friday afternoon caused minimal damage to the kitchen.    “We received a call around 5:07 p.m. reporting a structure fire at a Wilson Street home on Jan. 24. Upon arrival we found the fire was contained to the kitchen area,” said Adam Rider, deputy fire chief with the Presque Isle Fire Department.
When firefighters entered the house, they found the contents of an oven had caught fire.
“There was no damage to speak of but the occupant was treated for smoke inhalation and released from The Aroostook Medical Center. The home sustained only minor smoke damage,” said Rider.
Twelve firefighters and two trucks responded to the call.
