Double speak

To the editor:
Have you ever watched CSPAN or one of those other channels that show democracy in action, I have seen many committee hearings in my 46 years of life and what I saw when the Army and the ambassador to Iraq testified before the Congress and the Senate was speaking without talking.     I watch these congressmen and women addressing the House and Senate and like the testimony yesterday it was double talk, speaking without saying anything. To me it was rhetoric; the General read his entire testimony off of a legal pad. As a Marine I can see why military officers must show support for the policy’s of any President regardless if they think it is nonsense or not.
Starting a war just to prove you can, is foolish and stupid and expensive to say the least. Washington needs to learn that underestimating the people of the United States can be a losing proposition as the British under the rule of King George found out the hard way.
Sooner or later the people of the United States will see through the veil and the shadows in backroom deals and you will see them turn on the lights. I don’t mean the upper class; I mean the average Joe and Jane, the poor, the elderly and the disabled. Then see who laughs all the way to the bank!
