The District Attorney’s Office has had a few recent changes in staff, assignments and names.
Suzanne Russell, Assistant District Attorney assigned to the Houlton area, resigned in July 2007 to begin employment with Legal Services for the Elderly.    “Suzanne had been with us since 1991. We will miss her,” said District Attorney Neale Adams.
Taking Russell’s place will be Patrick Gordon.
“Patrick, a native of Houlton, decided to return to the area, leaving his job as an Assistant District Attorney in York County – a position he’s held since October 2001 – to take over as the Assistant District Attorney in Houlton. We are fortunate to have someone of his skill and training join us. Houlton is fortunate to reacquire him and his family,” said Adams.
Carrie Linthicum, Assistant District Attorney assigned to the Presque Isle area has now been designated Deputy District Attorney for this District.
“Carrie has been carrying the largest caseload for years and has done a remarkable job. The law enforcement community, the judiciary and her peers think very highly of her skills, conscientiousness, fairness and disposition. We are lucky she has been with us since December of 1985 and hope to have her for many more years,” Adams said.
Finally, on September 8, 2007, Assistant District Attorney assigned to the St. John Valley, Catherine Francke, has changed her name to Catherine Lindberg, following her marriage to Bruce, headmaster at Lee Academy.
“We congratulate both and hope she will remain with us for a long time,” said Adams.
