    EASTON – Jean K. Stickney, 99, wife of the late Frank C. Stickney, passed away Sunday evening, November 24, 2013, at a Mars Hill nursing facility, following a brief illness. She was born July 6, 1914, in Argyle, N.B., the daughter of David E. and Jessie (Lupin) Harvey.
    She attended school in Argyle, N.B., and was married to Frank C. Stickney on August 11, 1931. Jean was a member of the former Easton Grange and the Rebekah Lodge. She enjoyed flower gardening, knitting and crafted mittens for many Aroostook County residents over the years, and this skill was particularly appreciated by those who worked in the freezer at McCain Foods of Easton.
    In addition to her parents, Mrs. Stickney was predeceased by her husband, Frank on October 10, 1974; one son, Robert K. Stickney; two daughters, Mary Louise Sharpe and Glenda Mae Hersey; as well as several siblings. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, George W. and Idell Stickney of Easton; one daughter and son-in-law, Audrey Jean and Lester Lawrence of Mars Hill; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
    A memorial service will be conducted at a later date, with interment at Estes Park Cemetery, Easton.
