Fred Sprague, 70, passed away on August 4, 2013, in Louisiana. He was born in Mars Hill on October 5, 1942 to Cecil Sprague and Mable (Shanks) Sprague.
He retired from working in road construction in 2005.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Myrna (Beals) Sprague; two sons, Jason and wife Ooy of LA, and Thad and Melissa of Houlton; two sisters, Judy and husband Bob of Bradley, ME, and Viola and husband Ron of Missouri; one brother, Gary and wife of Halifax, Nova Scotia; one foster daughter, Leeanna and husband Norman of Dyer Brook; one sister-in-law, Laura Price and husband Robert of PA; seven grandchildren; several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at the Dyer Brook Community Church in Dyer Brook, ME on December 7, 2013. Visiting hours will be at 11 a.m. with service at 12. Refreshments will follow the service in the church fellowship hall.
