Mars Hill Rotary

The Mars Hill Rotary Club gathered on Tuesday, Oct. 29, at 6:30 a.m. at the Aroostook Health Center. The special speaker was Pearl Garcia, FNP with TAMC’s Occupational Health and Wellness Services.
She spoke about changes in the occupational health field that make processes more sustainable, accountable and use best practices, but figure in the human factor.
Garcia also spoke about people that do swing-shift work and the fatigue risk that can result from broken sleep patterns. It is important that such workers get at least six hours of sleep for three days in a row.
TAMC’s facility is dedicated to getting employees back to work and partnering with local businesses to build a healthy workplace. For more information, e-mail dlwalsh@tamc.org.
