PRESQUE ISLE — The Wintergreen Arts Center, located on State Street, will offer a preview of the 11th annual Rotary Art Auction on Nov. 1, as part of the First Friday Art Walk.
“Over 20 pieces, including original paintings, pottery, jewelry and handmade fiber creations will be on display in the Barresi Financial Gallery located at Wintergreen from Nov. 1 through Nov. 29,” said Wendy Gilman-Zubrick, Wintergreen’s executive director.
“We are so grateful to have such a wide variety of art forms donated by local and regional artists to choose from,” said Gilman-Zubrick, noting the show provides a perfect opportunity for folks to get a closer look of the many items up for auction.
The opening reception will be held from 6-8 p.m., coinciding with other First Friday events downtown.
“Proxy bids can be made during the opening reception and for the duration of the exhibit, after which time the items will be moved to the Northeastland Hotel where the televised auction will take place Dec. 3, 4 and 5,” Gilman-Zubrick said.
Gilman-Zubrick said this is an ideal event for those looking for a unique gift in time for the holidays.
The opening reception is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
