     CARIBOU and PRESQUE ISLE – Phyllis R. Getchell, 82, died unexpectedly at her home in Leisure Village October 8, 2013, in Presque Isle. She was born October 20, 1930, in Caribou, the daughter of the late Harry and Frances (McGlinn) Shaw. She married Garth Getchell on September 4, 1948.
    She is survived by two daughters, Mary Beaulieu of Presque Isle, and Patricia Peterson and her husband, Michael of Elgin, IL; her “adoptive daughter” Judy Belanger of Presque Isle; her grandchildren, Rick Beaulieu of Vancouver, WA, Scott Beaulieu of Beaverton, OR,  and Randy Beaulieu of Presque Isle; a brother-in-law, Frederick Getchell and his wife, Charlotte of Lady Lake, FL; a sister-in-law, Jackie Shaw of Caribou; several nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, John Shaw and his children, Andrew, Timmy, and Christina; and special nieces, Janice Pinette and her husband, Mark, and their children, Ben and Carlee, and Joyce Findlen and her husband, Scott, and their children, Caleb and Austin. Mrs. Getchell was predeceased by her husband, Garth; her brother, Jack Shaw; and a son-in-law, Clifford Beaulieu.
