CHAMPION CAKE
A team consisting of a mother and her two daughters won the cake decorating contest held at the Northern Maine Fair. From left are Jamie McIntosh, Denise Abar and Jennifer Pyles. The three had learned to make the elegant cake’s flowers, which are edible, just a few weeks earlier.
5-8 WINNER
Emily Collins of Mapleton took first place in the 5-8 age group at the cupcake decorating contest held at the Northern Maine Fair. Micah Calhoun and Ellie Calhoun, both of Ashland, were second and third, respectively.
