Fundraiser
to benefit boarding home residents
To the editor:
The non-profit activities department of the Southern Acres Residential Care Facility of Westfield is extending a social-spiritual opportunity to the communities of central Aroostook in the raffling off of a masterpiece of craftsmanship by one of our very own residents.
Monsieur Lloyd Jandreau has donated his handcrafted lawn-display well (32 inches tall) to raise monies for our Bingo games and other activities that awaken and raise the spirits of our shut-ins.
The winning ticket will be drawn on Saturday, Sept. 28 at our annual resident-family-visitors picnic at 203 Tweedie Road (first road south of Planet Saturn). The winner need not be present to win. Tickets are presently on sale here, and will be on sale at the Mars Hill IGA on Aug. 17, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. And tickets are only a dollar!
