COWETT, David Lee, 57, WILTON, ME, July 27, 2013. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Aug. 3, at 11 a.m., at his home in Wilton.

    WILTON, ME – David Lee Cowett passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2013, with the love of his life by his side at his home in Wilton. He was born June 28, 1956, the son of Everett and Camilla Cowett.
    David grew up in Presque Isle, graduated from Presque Isle High School. He was employed as manager for Conifer Industries in Farmington in which he won many awards and was a great mentor to his employees.
    Dave loved to go fishing, gardening, tell humorous stories and jokes. The most important thing in his life was all of his family which meant everything to him. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.
    He will be remembered for his unwavering courage, his devotion to his family, generous spirit, and willingness to laugh. He is described by his brothers and sisters as a hero and best friend. To say he will be greatly missed is not saying enough.
    He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Christy; son, David Jr., his wife, Desiree; daughter, Jessica and grandchildren, David  III and Daniel of Wilton; his mother, Camilla Cowett of Presque Isle; sisters, Terry and Doug of South Paris, LuAnne Michaud and Brian of Mapleton; brothers, Michael and Sherry, Rob and Alexia, Alan and Tina of Presque Isle, Tim and Nancy of Caribou, Steven and Janice of Houlton, Dana and Shari of Westfield; several nieces and nephews.
    He was predeceased by his father, Everett Cowett; his brother, Larry; a niece, Morgan; and an infant daughter.
    A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Aug. 3, at 11 a.m., at his home on 7 Thomas Street in Wilton. No formal attire as he asked everyone to attend just as they are. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donations in his memory can be made to Christy Cowett, 7 Thomas St., Wilton, ME.
