Loomis A. Burbee, Sr.

Burbee, Lomis A. Sr., 71, of Houlton and Presque Isle, died August 26, 2007 at a local hospital. A private funeral service will be held at a later date. A service of Dunn Funeral Home.     Houlton & Presque Isle – Loomis Alden Burbee, Sr., 71, died Aug. 26, 2007 at a local hospital. He was born Feb. 27, 1936 at Fort Fairfield, the son of Hector A. and Mary (McMann) Berube.
    Loomis was employed as a truck driver and mechanic for many years.
    He is survived by three sons, Loomis A. Burbee, Jr. and his wife Penny of Presque Isle, Bruce A. Burbee and his wife Pearl of Bennington, VT, Steven R. Burbee and his friend Laura Goldsmith of Waterville; two daughters, Wanda Mattoon and her husband Michael of Springfield, MA, Fran Rand and her husband Michael of Dunnellon, FL; thirteen grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Patricia (Boulier) Burbee; three brothers, Leonard, Leo, and Lynwood; two sisters, Louise Murphy, and Bertha Burbee; and a half sister Doris McMann.
