HORSE-DRAWN WAGON RIDES are a fun part of the Maple Meadow Farm Festival as seen from this shot in “Maple Meadow Farm,” an hour-long documentary to be shown this week on MPBN. This year’s festival, now called Farm Fest, will be held June 29-30.

“Maple Meadow Farm,” which follows the Greggs through the year as they farm using a team of six workhorses, will be broadcast on MPBN June 20 and 22 in the Maine Community Films slot.
“It is wonderful that MPBN is airing the show the week before the Greggs hold their annual Maple Meadow Farm Festival at the end of June,” said Brenda Jepson, the Madawaska Lake filmmaker who shot the film with her husband, Alan.
“And now MPBN transmits throughout the Maritime Provinces too so our Canadian neighbors will learn about the Greggs and the festival,” she said.
“Maple Meadow Farm” is an hour-long show that shows how workhorses are used by the Greggs to plow, harrow, mow and even twitch logs out of the woods in winter. The event is now called Farm Fest.
It also contains a long segment featuring the fun and festivities at their annual fair.
“Maple Meadow Farm” was produced by Crown Of Maine Productions and clips of the show may be viewed on their website, crownofmaineproductions.com.
