Rec registration opens
FORT FAIRFIELD — The recreation department is accepting registrations for its baseball, softball, tennis, swimming and 21st Century adventure programs, all being offered this summer.
T-ball is for ages 6-8, with girls meeting Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:30-10:30 a.m. and boys Tuesdays and Thursdays, also from 9:30-10:30 a.m.
Youth league baseball is for ages 10-12. Games are played Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 5:30 p.m. through mid-July.
Minor league baseball is for ages 8 and 9. Games begin June 17 and are held Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:30 p.m.
Pony League baseball is for ages 13-15 and games take place Tuesdays and Thursdays either at 1 or 3 p.m. beginning June 17.
Babe Ruth baseball, for ages 15-18, will hold games Tuesday and Thursday evenings at Presque Isle High School throughout the summer beginning June 17.
Junior girls softball is for girls ages 9-12. Practices take place Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:30-10:45 a.m. beginning June 19, with games being played Tuesdays and Thursdays at 1 p.m.
Senior girls softball, for ages 13-18, will have games beginning June 17.
Tennis lessons are offered to youth 8 years of age and older. Intermediate-level lessons are held from 8:30-9:15 a.m. Mondays and Wednesday beginning July 1 and beginners will meet at the same time Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning July 2.
The Fort Fairfield Community Pool is open for general swim from 1-4 and 6-8 p.m.
Swim lessons are offered Monday through Thursday, with the first session taking place from July 1-25 and the second from July 29-Aug. 15. Classes offered include Learn to Swim levels I-VI and parent-child. Contact the recreation center for specific class times.

Several adventure camps are offered through the 21st Century Program.
Little Critters half-day camp for grades 1-2 runs from July 1-25 from 12:15-3:15 p.m. Sun and Fun half-day camp for grades 3-5 is held on the same dates and times, as is the Adventures Abound half-day camp for grades 6-8.
A drama camp for youth entering grades 3-5 is scheduled for Aug. 5-15 from 9 a.m.-noon.
