Registration for pool classes begins
PRESQUE ISLE — Pre-paid registrations are being accepted at the Presque Isle Indoor Pool for the June 17 through Aug. 10 session. The following classes are available:
Parent/toddler class, which requires an adult to be in the water, has spaces available Tuesday, 9-9:25 a.m. or 6-6:25 p.m.; or Thursday, 6-6:25 p.m.
Three-year-old class, which is limited to only three-year-olds, has openings Monday, 3:30-3:55 p.m; Tuesday, 9:30-9:55 a.m.; and Thursday, 9-9:25 a.m. or 6:30-6:55 p.m.
The 4-5-year-old class is offered Monday, 3-3:25 p.m.; Tuesday, 10:30-10:55 a.m.; 3-3:25 p.m.; 3:30-3:55 p.m.; or 6:30-6:55 p.m.; Wednesday, 11-11:25 a.m. or 4-4:25 p.m.; Thursday, 10:30-10:55 a.m.; and Friday 10-10:25 a.m.
Swimming 3-5 year-olds (must be able to swim half the width of the pool) has openings Monday, 7-7:25 p.m.; Tuesday, 10-10:25 a.m; Wednesday, 11:30-11:55 p.m. or 4:30-4:55 p.m.; Thursday, 9:30-9:55 a.m. or 7-7:25 p.m.; and Friday, 10:30-10:55 a.m.
Learn to Swim 1 is for children 6-12 years old. This level is for the beginner and has classes Monday, 9-9:50 a.m. or 4-4:50 p.m.; Wednesday, 3-3:50 p.m. or 6-6:50 p.m.; and Thursday, 3-3:50 p.m.
Learn to Swim 2 has openings Monday, 10-10:50 a.m. or 6-6:50 p.m.; Tuesday, 4-4:50 pm; Wednesday, 3-3:50 p.m.; and Thursday, 3-3:50 p.m.
Learn to Swim 3-4 is offered Monday, 9-9:50 a.m.; 3-3:50 p.m.; or 7-7:50 p.m.; Tuesday, 4-4:50 p.m. or 6-6:50 p.m.; Wednesday, 11-11:50 a.m. or 4-4:50 p.m.; Thursday, 4-4:50 p.m., 6-6:50 p.m. or Friday, 3-3:50 p.m.
Learn to Swim 5-6 has openings Monday, 4-4:50 p.m.; Tuesday 3-3:50 p.m.; and Wednesday, 10-10:50 a.m. or 6-6:50 p.m.
Adult beginner/stroke improvement classes are held Thursdays, 7-7:50 p.m.
Shallow water exercise classes are held Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10-10:50 a.m.
Deep Water Boot Camp classes (cardio, strengthening and toning) are Thursdays at 6-6:50 p.m.
Anna’s Inspirational Shallow Water Exercise takes place Thursday from 4-4:50 p.m.
The Presque Isle Indoor Pool will be closed on July 4 all day and July 24 for morning lessons and general swim due to the County Swim Meet.
