David Merle Gibson

GIBSON, David Merle, 63, FORT FAIRFIELD & EASTON, February 17, 2013. A graveside service will be held at the Pine Tree Cemetery in Easton on June 15, at 11 a.m.

     FORT FAIRFIELD & EASTON – David Merle Gibson, 63, died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013, after a long illness at the Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor. He was born in Caribou, June 16, 1949, son of Merle and Leah (Good) Tompkins.
    David was a long time resident of Fort Fairfield and Easton. He was a former employee of McCain’s in Easton. He enjoyed doing a lot of different things in life. He liked traveling and had done a lot in his lifetime.
    He was predeceased by his father, Merle L. Tompkins and stepmother, Kathleen Tompkins; one sister, Sheralee Tompkins; paternal grandparents, Samuel Good and Beatrice (Condo) Good of Easton; his paternal grandparents, John and Hazel Tompkins of Easton.
    David is survived by his mother, Leah (Good) Vaughn of Bangor; two sisters, Darlene (Gibson) Lilly and Denise (Gibson) Braden; six brothers, James Vaughn, Gregory, Mike, Eric, Derby and Randy Tompkins. He also leaves behind several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
    A graveside service will be held at the Pine Tree Cemetery in Easton on June 15, at 11 a.m.
