PRESQUE ISLE — The Presque Isle Downtown Revitalization Committee will be hosting an event on Thursday recognizing businesses and individuals who’ve contributed to improvements downtown.

“We’re holding the Presque Isle Downtown Recognition Celebration on May 30 from 5-7 p.m. at the Northeastland Hotel,” said one of the event’s organizers, Patty LeBlanc, member and past president of the DRC.
LeBlanc said from the start short-term goals have included restoring the visual integrity of the heart of town, “making it a more pleasant, warm and inviting destination for visitors and businesses alike.” One of the organization’s main long-term goals has been for the group to preserve the economic viability and activity of the downtown hub, by attracting new businesses and visitors.
Thursday’s event is designed to thank those who’ve contributed to the process.
Complementary hors d’oeuvres will be served and a cash bar will be offered.
